So this post is not about the farm, its about my family, most notably, my brother. He called last night to share the news that he had won the elusive MacArthur Fellowship award, sometimes called the Genius Award.
I am in awe of him, so proud and beyond happy that he is being recognized for making the world just a little better.
My parents...they have ordered their new bumper sticker: My kid's a MacArthur Genius.
If you have time, and are interested in health care, considering learning more about Jeff's work.
And an article from the New Yorker from 2011, and a follow-up piece from Frontline. And my current favorite, a talk to the National Governor's Association, which after watching made me worry the AMA might throw bricks through his window.
We are attributing his success to hybrid vigor, the result of blending Lithuanian ancestry with Scottish/Irish roots.
Congratulations Jeff! You are most deserving.
With Love-
Stacy
