Visualizing Garden Peas

This week's harvest:
Lettuce
Peas
Garlic
Radishes
Celery
Bunching Onions
Basil

Last week was a busy one, including one wedding (congratulations Ashley and Jeff!),

a trip to the Scarborough Farmer's Market and the inaugural week of the Flower CSA.

The Scarborough Farmer's Market is slow to see an influx of shoppers. We are enjoying seeing the folks who come by and love bartering with the other vendors for delicious goat cheese, hot sauce and rose scented soap. The market has so much to offer, including the opportunity to say hello to neighbors and friends, drink some iced tea and eat a lobster roll. Consider making the market part of your weekend routine on Sundays between 9-12, located behind the Town Hall at the intersection of Routes 1 and 114 in Scarborough.

The flowers are what I am loving right now. I LOVE growing flowers. I love arranging them, harvesting them and sometimes, I even love weeding them. Although they were slow to bloom this year due to the lack of rain, they are really starting to get showy. Please take a moment when you pick up your share to walk around and enjoy the summer bloom and smell the chocolate cosmos.
Bouquets are available to our Flower CSA members each week and are sold at the Scarborough Farmer's Market. If you are interested in an arrangement for a special event, please feel free to give the farm a call as we can create something special for you.

(last minute touches for the wedding arrangements)

Blessings on the meal,
Stacy and John
