Epic Weekend

Every summer, we have our biggest weekend of the year. This was our biggest and it was glorious.

We filled two vans, a trailer and a pick-up truck with gear and hauled it all to Haystack in Deer Isle, ME.

We set up a temporary studio space, trading a view of the cows for a view of the ocean. It was splendid.

We flowered up the joint and John created sapling sculptures to light the space. He's the arborist to my florist.

We practiced our craft in the way we love to, without boundaries, and with a family who placed their trust in us to make flower magic happen.

And the best part, my favorite part, we grew or gathered everything we used.

And then there's the other part of our business, the business of food....

 This week's harvest list:
Lettuce
Carrots
Potatoes
Tomatoes
Bell Peppers
Hungarian Hot Wax Peppers
Chard
Beans
Edamame (soybeans)
Garlic
Green onions
Delicotta squash
Celery

Blessings on the meal,
Stacy

  1. Love the beautiful woodwork here! Not to mention the flowers, vines and grasses trailing everywhere... Well done!
